| Boston :: 2004 ... Directions ... Redtail Collective |
The time has come.
The summer has been flowing along, and many of us are in the midst of preparations for Burning Man 2004. It is time to build shade structures, start that cordial-still in your backyard, sand off those stilts, polish up your goggles, open your costume trunk, and start the involved process of deciding which thigh-high boots will match that wicker tunic you've been working on.
It is time to share, and to REcompress.
REcompression Playa Art Open Studio
On display will be a variety of works by people in the local Burning Man community as well as members of Redtail Collective.
Many of these works will be sent across the country in the next couple weeks for their implementation at Burning Man.
Not all pieces displayed are for purchase. However, several of the artists will be showing some pieces available for purchase or gift.
So far, the types of projects at this event include: clothing, costume, photography, installation, metal-working (sculpture and bikes), painting, LED, projection, music, sound, performance, video, EL wire... all created in the vein of radical self-expression.
If you are interested in showing your work at the Open Studio, it's not too late! Please contact Miranda Caroligne <mirandacaroligne@yahoo.com>
