Redtail espouses many of the tenants of Burningman in its own unique way. This results in a space of resourceful creativity. In October 2003 during Fort Point's Open Studios, Redtail informally opened it's doors to the public to reveal that even non-Burningman participants were amazed and stimulated by the work happening in the space. This revealed an opportunity to share this resourceful creativity with the Boston population at large. Redtail Collective is a group of private individuals. REcompression Open Studios is organized not only by the Redtail Collective, but also other private individuals within the Burningman-minded community. August 7th was chosen as this day of opportunity because many of the works on display will be packed up for shipping to the Black Rock Desert (the site of Burningman) the following week. |
